The training course on „Biosecurity in aquaculture” was held at Institut Français de Recherche pour l'Exploitation de la Mer (IFREMER) in Palavas-les-Flots, France. The training took place on 20-25 October 2013 and was attended by four NARIC HAKI specialists (Mr. Sándor Diviki, Mr. Tibor Feledi, Mr. Gyula Kovács and Ms. Ágnes Adorján). The participants attended lectures on biosecurity and risk assessment (by Gilles Breuil) and on the application of vacuum airlift (by Bertrand Barrut), as well as got acquainted with the biosecurity solutions applied at the IFREMER research facilities and a nearby sea bass farm (Les Poissons du Soleil). The participants evaluated the training as very relevant to their work at NARIC HAKI. The principles of biosecurity learnt during the course will be considered during the development of the biosecurity principles to be followed in the new RAS system of NARIC HAKI.
